Nebraska already boasts some of the best public schools in the country(1) and Elkhorn Public Schools are among the best in the state!(2) It’s no wonder parents who care about their children’s well being and education flock to Elkhorn.

EPS’s misson is simple: “The Elkhorn Public Schools unites students, families, educators, and the community to ensure a challenging and enriching academic environment that inspires students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.” EPS takes education seriuosly and it shows.

Elkhorn Parks and Recreation:

Lakes, trails, golf, sports fields and more

Elkhorn is home to some great outdoor spaces!

Ta-Ha-Zouka Park has a variety of sports fields, playgrounds, running trails, picnic spots and even a tank!

Lawrence Youngman Boat Ramp and Park grants access to the Lawrence Youngman lake for boating, fishing or picnicking shore side under the many pavilions and playgrounds.

Hit a few balls at either Elkhorn Ridge or Indian Creek golf courses.

When it gets too cold to enjoy the outdoors be sure to visit Common Ground Community Center which offers exercise classes, swimming and sports leagues.

Olde Towne Elkhorn and New Growth

Elkhorn is the fastest growing part of Omaha.

There are several new commercial developments being built all around the city. From Olde Towne Elkhorn in the heart of town to Coventry to the south; the new OCi headquarters to the north to Antler View to the east; and the billion dollar “Western Gateway to Omaha” by Avenue 1 and R&R; Elkhorn is experiencing huge economic growth.

There are plenty of housing developments to go along with the booming commercial developments. From multi-million dollar homes to traditional single family homes to upscale condos. There is somewhere for everyone.
