Omaha Public Schools:

Investing in the Future

Nebraska already boasts some of the best public schools in the country. As Northwest Omaha contnues to grow so too must the Omaha School District. OPS hasn’t opened a new high school since 1971. Now the district is in the process of building two new high schools to open for the 2022-23 school year. With the recent ground breaking of a new school at 156th and Ida, families in Northwest Omaha will have a cutting edge new High School combined with a YMCA.

The new complex (including the YMCA) is a two-story 315,000 square feet with a capacity of 1,500 students. The new school will have the capacity for 1,500 students and the YMCA facility, with a pool that will be open to students and nearby residents.
